Practice Futures Colloquium

RMIT DESIGN HUB, LEVEL 10, PAVILION 1
RMIT Architecture & Urban Design invites you to the:
PRACTICE FUTURES COLLOQUIUM
This event will consider how digital fabrication will impact the future of architectural practice in Australia. The event will focus on unpacking the ecology of new modes of architectural practice forming around digital project delivery, how they relate to traditional modes of procurement, and how they are shaped by critical factors such as scale, risk, responsibility and reward. We encourage audience participation in this event.
Practice Futures is a research project which is a collaboration between the ARBV (Architect’s Registration Board of Victoria) and RMIT Architecture & Urban Design. As part of this project RMIT Master of Architecture students have been completing the Practice Futures Elective and conducted a series of initial interviews with practices such as ARM, AR-MA, Aurecon, Assemble, Cox, Elenberg Fraser, Make, MARCH, Lyons, & Shapeshift. This colloquium will use the initial research and interviews as a point of departure to identify and discuss some of the wider questions and possibilities.
