Eva Franch i Gilabert is an architect, curator, and educator traversing the realms of architecture, art, politics, and pedagogy. Working in curatorial activism, alternative pedagogies and planetary practices, Franch has curated more than 30 exhibitions and commissioned works internationally while transforming the way we teach and learn architecture.
Presently, she serves as the Head of Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design at UMPRUM in Prague and as the Director of MODEL, a new annual experimental architecture festival organized by the Barcelona City Council. Her latest curatorial project Picasso: Untitled, is on view in La Casa Encendida in Madrid till January 2024.
Franch is the former Director of the AA Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and the Storefront for Art & Architecture in New York. Franch has taught at Princeton University, Columbia University, The Cooper Union, Rice University, IUAV University of Venice, and SUNY Buffalo and lectured across the world.
