‘Some DIY Civic Jisms’ aims to describe and enact myths of creative renewal in order to find fresh language in civic architecture beyond the commercial cultures of traffic-choked suburbs. It is a speculative civic centre formed through committing deceptive sacrileges: between the vulgar & expressive on one hand, and the literary & architrivial on the other.
