Paul Morgan is an alumni of the RMIT undergraduate Bachelor of Architecture and the RMIT Master of Design in Urban Design. He has coordinated the RMIT Master of Architecture – Urban Architecture Program (now the UAL) and regularly offers urban design studios in the RMIT Architecture Upperpool.
Paul Morgan Architects designed a sound and spatial studio for the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory that included an ‘immersive’ studio pod, the n-space for 28 students, post graduate and small studios. The acoustic brief required advanced absorption performance with the possibility of multiple speaker configurations for high end single user, tutor presentation and audience configurations. Features include near total acoustic separation, floating concrete ‘seismic’ slab and double steel skin. It is one of a handful of sound studios of its type internationally.
