Architects Statement:

Paul Morgan Architects designed a sound and spatial studio for the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory that included an ‘immersive’ studio pod, the n-space for 28 students, post graduate and small studios. The acoustic brief required advanced absorption performance with the possibility of multiple speaker configurations for high end single user, tutor presentation and audience configurations. Features include near total acoustic separation, floating concrete ‘seismic’ slab and double steel skin. It is one of a handful of sound studios of its type internationally.
