Clare Cousins elected as the AIA National President

CONGRATULATIONS TO RMIT ARCHITECTURE ALUMNA CLARE COUSINS ON BEING ELECTED AS THE AIA NATIONAL PRESIDENT.

We would like to congratulate nationally-elected councillor Clare Cousins who has been voted National Australian Institute of Architects president elect effective from 16 May.

Clare Cousins established her Melbourne practice, Clare Cousins Architects (CCA) in 2005. Within the AIA Clare is involved at state and national levels, elected in 2016 as a Nationally Elected Councillor, and as a Victorian Chapter Councillor in 2014-15. She has also contributed to the AA Editorial Committee (chair), Victorian Small and Medium Practice Forums, Victorian Member Services Committee (chair), Victorian Member’s Forum, Constructive Mentoring Program and Victorian and National Awards Juries. Clare was recognised for her work and professional engagement in 2013 with the AIA Victorian and National Emerging Architect award.
