Times Two Architects was founded by Michelle and Richard Black in 2006. The practice explores overlaps and adjacencies between architecture and landscape. Times Two Architects is a small, two-person practice with a range of small scale realized projects and very large scale rural and regional speculative projects.  The realized works are exquisitely designed and well sited houses where surrounding landscapes, underlying geologic conditions and surface topography define domestic spatial envelopes. Richard’s mapping of the Murray River floods, fieldwork and associated design projects, are the first architectural works to be acquired for the permanent collection of the Centre for Art + Environment, Nevada Museum of Art, Reno, USA. Projects by Times Two Architects have been internationally recognised in Europe, Asia and USA through lectures, exhibition and publication.
